Malcolm Colbran – Chair of Governors 

I'm a Councillor on Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council representing Bedlinog & Trelewis Ward, I joined the Governing body in 2017 and have recently been appointed Chair of Governors.

From the first time I visited Greenfield, it was obvious how happy the learners are, how dedicated the staff are and how proud they are of the school and everything it's achieved. 

Greenfield School gives pupils the best possible start in life. Everyone is given the encouragement and support they need to reach their maximum potential, and it's a privilege for me to help such an amazing school in any way I can.

 

Dan Bufton – Vice Chair of Governors

My name is Dan Bufton, and I am Sport Development Manager for Active Merthyr, the Sport Development Department for Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. As part of that role, I also lead on disability sport, something I have done in the borough for some time before I became manager. That role entails supporting local sports clubs and schools to be more accessible and inclusive in regards to how they deliver sport and physical activity.   

I have worked closely with Greenfield School for a number of years, supporting pupils to access opportunities and working with the school to develop sporting provision. I joined the board of governors a few years ago to further support the school, and I’m delighted to continue that support through my new role as vice chair or governors.
