Safeguarding

In Greenfield School we have clear policies and practices in place to ensure that we safeguard and promote the welfare of our pupils so that they can learn in a safe and supportive environment. Greenfield School follows the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Safeguarding Board model policy which can be found on the left-hand tab.

The Designated Governor for Safeguarding is our Chair of Governors Councillor Malcolm Colbran. The Designated Safeguarding Person (DSP) for the Primary Department is Carol Conway and the DSP for the secondary department is Gwyn Daniels. The Head Teacher Rhiannon Stephens Davies is also a DSP who will act in the absence of the other school DSPs.

If there is an emergency and you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm you must contact police on 999

If you have any concerns please feel free to discuss them with one of the school’s DSPs. Alternatively, you can contact the Education Designated Officer for Safeguarding on 01685 725082, education.safeguarding@merthyr.gov.uk

Safeguarding concerns can also be discussed with MASH on 01443 743730
