Today, Monday 17th June 2024, we were fortunate to have Susan & Simon from “Providing help to Merthyr Tydfil Homeless & less fortunate” attend our weekly assembly to explain where our weekly food contributions made by the pupils go and why. Susan & Simon presented the pupils with certificates of appreciation and some treats. We also had the pleasure of Afon Taf pupils joining us to receive their certificate for all their help and contributions.

I would like to personally thank all pupils for joining me on this amazing project and journey which is resulting in so many benefits for all whilst strengthening community links.

Today we cooked a hearty vegetable and lentil soup with bread, home-made Welsh cakes and shortbread biscuits.

Today we were joined by pupils from Afon Taf, who helped us cook up a healthy, hearty lentil and vegetable soup for those less fortunate in our community. Providing help to the Merthyr Tydfil homeless & less fortunate.

Greenfield School pupils have been hard at work packing parcels to deliver to the Homeless Project in Merthyr Tydfil. We had an extensive selection of donations from Greenfield School staff members, which we hope will come to good use to those less fortunate. A big thank you to our staff for showing such care, generosity, and kindness towards our wider community. We hope that we have provided some support in readiness for the festivities.
